Friends and family gathered to say goodbye Thursday to the 31-year-old man shot to death in Greenburgh.
Kenyatta Parks had just visited his parents and was shot in the head yards from their apartment Sunday.
Family and friends from the neighborhood consoled each other at Parks? wake, held at Christ?s Temple Church, while police stood guard.
Sources say Parks was a member of the Bloods street gang. The man wanted for questioning in the murder is believed to be a member of the same gang.
However, Parks? family denies the charge. Family members say they are angry and upset that their loved one is being called a gang member. They say Parks was trying to turn his life around for his wife and two sons.
