Parents and their children attended the annual WHUD Radiothon for the Kids this week.
The three-day event raises money for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
The families talked on air about some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and told stories of how they overcame significant medical challenges.
Part of the proceeds from the event will go toward a $1 million expansion of the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
