The Fairway store in Pelham Manor could be shutting down soon.

The beloved supermarket that bills itself as "like no other market" could be closing its doors for good in a matter of weeks.

The shocking news became public last month when the supermarket owner officially notified the state after it filed for bankruptcy.

As many as 2,600 workers in its 14 stores could lose their jobs. A total of 164 employees of those workers are from the Pelham Manor store.

Fairway executives told the state they could close anywhere between March 10 and April 7.

Workers say they are still holding out hope the store will remain open.
