About a dozen people hit Post Road to spread joyful sounds through downtown Fairfield.
Make Music Fairfield held its first Winter Solstice Stroll on Saturday.
"We're super happy with the turn out. We had a lovely fiddler and a guitarist, and we had people who ranged in age from 9 months to in their 70's or so," said Lou Heumann, Board Chair of Fairfield Theatre Company.
Despite chilling weather conditions, the caroling route started with "Feliz Navidad" and ending with "Jingle Bells."
The group is well known for making music through the area of Fairfield on the first day of summer every year, this year they decided to do the same on the first day of winter.
"I'm so happy that we have music as a medium to bring us all together no matter what," said Gabi Tozzi, a guitarist for local band Bad Saints.
The route took carolers from Fairfield Theatre Company to SHU Community Theater and Fairfield Public Library, with a grand finale at Sherman Green Gazebo.
