As summer winds down, there's still an opportunity to bask in the sun and enjoy the water a little longer! News 12's Nikita Ramos takes us on a close-to-home road trip to Greenwood Lake.
Whether you've got two legs or four legs, everyone can stretch their sea legs on this trip to Greenwood Lake.
For a scenic experience of the region's beauty on the water, Jersey Paddleboards offers an ideal option.
"The overall feeling on this lake is just very fun and people are friendly," says Micki Lees, the owner of Jersey Paddleboards.
Micki Lees initiated this venture a decade ago, providing various ways to savor the local landmark. With a fleet of 70 boards, Jersey Paddleboards caters to diverse preferences and needs, including boards for kids as young as four and adults up to 400 pounds.
Another option is to relax on a kayak, and you can even bring your furry companion along as a paddle board partner. Finn, an enthusiastic water-loving dog, demonstrated the excitement of being on the water.
"These are our mascots, Finn and Sophie. They are water dogs; they love to go out. We do recommend that you bring a life jacket to make sure that our little four-legged friends are safe," notes Micki Lees.
Safety remains a top priority, catering to both experienced and first-time adventurers with the necessary equipment for an enjoyable experience. Additionally, Jersey Paddleboards hosts a range of events to participate in, including night paddles, yoga on the water, and even a winter “Santapalooza” fundraiser.
While walk-ins are welcomed, making a reservation only helps to guarantee your spot on a board. And remember, the season lasts as long as Mother Nature allows, so come out while the sun is out!
