The recent terror attacks overseas have left many wondering how they can protect themselves here at home, and a security expert is giving tips that can keep you safe.
George Kline was a member of the NYPD's Joint Terrorism Task Force, and is now the vice president of Brosnan Risk Consultants in Bardonia. He says that whether you're in a store or a stadium, it's important to take a minute and learn the location of the exits and alarms, just in case an evacuation is needed.
Those using public transportation must remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
Kline says it's best to sit near exits and bathrooms when riding on trains. And of course, he advises that if you see something, say something.
