A former Westchester County jail correction officer is heading to prison for six-and-half years.
Recaldo Frey, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced Friday in federal court in White Plains.
He pled guilty to robbery and weapons charges stemming from and armed robbery at a Newburgh home in December of 2023.
He and a second man held two victims at gunpoint and stole a large amount of marijuana and cash.
The co-defendant, Kaheem Palmer, of Mount Vernon, is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday.
