A former Village of Sloatsburg attorney is accused of serving up alcohol, marijuana and even sex to underage boys.
According to officials, 44-year-old Beth Modica threw pool parties at her home over the summer for boys from her 16-year-old son's ice hockey team. In addition to providing booze and drugs, the mother of four also allegedly had sex with at least one teen.
An indictment is expected to be unsealed Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Rockland County Courthouse. Ramapo police started their investigation after rumors circulated around the school.
While many residents refused to comment on the case, some expressed disgust. "She should party with people who are legal next time," said Warwick resident Brendan Coyle.
Modica's husband is Spring Valley Police Chief Paul Modica, who sources say is separated from his wife.
Modica's attorney did not return calls for comment. Neither did her husband, who apparently is not staying at the same home.
