A former Pace University employee was arraigned Friday for allegedly making threats to the school's Pleasantville location and possibly another campus.
Police say Ernest Brown, 52, phoned in false bomb threats Tuesday, saying that he was "planning to blow up buildings," after he was fired from his clerical job. He was arrested Thursday.
None of the buildings were evacuated, but police say security levels were upgraded at the school.
Police in Briarcliff Manor are investigating whether Brown also made threats against the Pace campus there.
Brown's Ossining neighbors expressed disbelief over his alleged actions, saying that they hope he doesn't get off lightly if he committed the crime.
Brown's bail was set at $50,000 during his appearance in a Mount Pleasant courtroom. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 25.
