Environmental Protection Agency documents show Seresto's flea and tick collar has been tied to a number of cat and dog deaths, and even hundreds of injuries to humans.
The product reportedly releases small amounts of pesticide. The toxin is meant to kill common vermin, while being safe for pets.
A dog owner in New Jersey lost her 9-year-old service dog Pierre last year. The dog suffered a seizure after wearing a Seresto collar for one day.
No recalls or warnings have been issued for the collar by any government agency yet.
