Dutchess County's St. Patrick's Day celebration is on, but it will look a little different this year.
The 26th annual parade will be held virtually highlighting the history of years past.
The Town of Wappinger has partnered with the county's parade committee to keep the spirit of the holiday alive. "I think it signifies that we continue our community traditions, despite or in spite of COVID-19, right? We don't let it get us down. We try to find the alternatives until we can get back to the live format," says Wappinger Town Supervisor Richard l. Thurston.
The hour-long special can be seen on YouTube and channel 22 for Optimum subscribers and Channel 35 for Verizon from now until March 19.
