K-9 Buddy, a dedicated officer, is bidding farewell to his illustrious 10-year career with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
The dutiful canine will now enter a well-deserved retirement, with plans to spend this new chapter alongside his handler, Deputy Brophy.
Throughout his tenure, K-9 Buddy displayed exceptional commitment and skill in assisting law enforcement with locating lost individuals and pursuing fleeing suspects. Now, in retirement, the loyal dog will trade in those demanding tasks for leisurely pursuits, such as searching for frisbees in the comfort of his own backyard.
Deputy Brophy expressed gratitude for K-9 Buddy's unwavering service and companionship, reflecting on the countless moments they shared while working together.
