A couple of drivers were lucky to walk away unharmed after their cars were involved in a fiery crash Wednesday morning in Rockland County.
Terrence Milhouse, of Garnerville, tells News 12 he was driving to work on Route 59 in Nanuet around 9:30 a.m. when a woman in a silver SUV ran a red light and T-boned his car.
"A few cars ahead of me went and I went to turn, and the next thing I know the car was right on top of me," says Milhouse.
Both drivers were able to get out of their vehicles unharmed, but minutes later, the front of the SUV erupted in flames.
Milhouse's car was also damaged in the crash, but Milhouse says he is thankful that his airbag deployed.
Westbound Route 59 was shut down as crews put out the flames. The road has since reopened.
