Driver wanted in hit-and-run that killed SUNY New Paltz student

Ulster County authorities say 22-year-old Raymond Rattray was walking home from class Tuesday on Route 208 when he was hit and killed by the driver of a dark-colored sedan.

Authorities continue to search for the driver who they say fatally struck a SUNY New Paltz student and then fled the scene.
Ulster County authorities say 22-year-old Raymond Rattray was walking home from class Tuesday on Route 208 when he was hit and killed by the driver of a dark-colored sedan.
SUNY New Paltz released a statement Thursday saying Rattray was a philosophy major, an educational opportunity program student and a member of the men's rugby club.
A memorial site was set up on campus near Gunk Pond in Rattray's memory.
The university's counseling center staff are also available.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Ulster County Sheriff's Office at 845-338-3640.
