There's new footage of the moment a driver hit a police car and taco truck in Yonkers.
"The taco truck and other vehicles I seen, were pretty messed up. It was just a lot," says Ismael Cardoso, who lives nearby.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Yonkers Avenue, not far from Walnut Street.
Police say a driver made an illegal U-turn, causing a collision with a Yonkers police car and taco truck.
Two additional cars were also damaged.
The driver who caused the accident had a suspended license and the registration for the vehicle he was operating was also suspended, according to police.
Security footage from a nearby business shows the moment the accident happened.
"I noticed all the residue that was behind the cars. I didn't know what happened the night before," says Joseph Maldonado, who described what he saw the following morning when he went to work nearby.
Police say several people were hurt, including two officers and people inside the taco truck. Everyone is expected to make full recoveries, according to police.
The driver's identity hasn't been released yet.
Officers say he is facing charges of aggravated unlicensed operation, operation while registration suspended and reckless driving.
