Despite recent efforts to get illegal guns off the streets, a teenage girl was killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday in Yonkers.Police say the 19-year-old was hanging out with friends outside of a deli on Beech Street when someone opened fire from a passing car. More than one person was in the car and a number of shots were fired. One bullet hit the girl in the torso and she was taken to St. Joseph's Medial Center where she later died. Police say they have some leads and are searching for one person of interest. The victim?s identity has not been released, but police do not believe she was the intended target.
