New COVID-19 infections, hospitalizations and deaths are expected to keep rising across the country for the next several months as temperatures drop.
News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen is joined by Dr. Peter Hotez, co-director of the Texas Children's Hospital Center for Vaccine Development, to discuss how to prepare for what he calls a "third peak" in the pandemic.
Hotez, who is also the dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, says it's important for people to create a unit with friends or family to social distance with and to have access to mental health counseling.
