Downed tree cuts power to New Rochelle neighborhood

The power is back on in one New Rochelle neighborhood after a tree fell on power lines, leaving dozens in the dark. Residents around Kewanee Road reported losing power at around 11 p.m. Saturday.

The power is back on in one New Rochelle neighborhood after a tree fell on power lines, leaving dozens in the dark.
Residents around Kewanee Road reported losing power at around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Con Edison crews found a downed tree had taken down wires, cutting power to about 50 customers.
Power was restored to all affected residents by around 2 a.m.
The falling tree narrowly missed hitting a parked car, and it did not hit any houses. No injuries were reported.
