Heavy rains are being blamed for a tree that came crashing down along with power lines in Hastings overnight.
The tree fell across Route 9 near Burnside Drive, and the road was closed from Devon Way to Washington Street for most of the morning.
Tree workers from the village chopped the tree into pieces and were able to clear the road for reopening by 9:30 a.m.
Consolidated Edison says that there were a handful of power outages but electricity has been restored to all customers.
