The closure is in effect between Teresa Avenue and Wendover Road.
The tree fell Sunday night, bringing down power lines and transformers. Repair crews expect the work to take most of the day.
The closure is near the entrance to Tibbetts Brook Park. While the park is expected to remain open, access may be difficult due to the road closure.
