Dog rescued from suspicious vehicle later deemed safe in Queens

Police received calls of a vehicle with a suspicious package in the Queens Place Mall parking lot Monday morning. At around 11 a.m., the bomb squad gave the all clear, saying the vehicle was deemed safe.

A dog was rescued from a suspicious vehicle later deemed safe by police in Queens.
Police received calls of a vehicle with a suspicious package in the Queens Place Mall parking lot Monday morning. At around 11 a.m., the bomb squad gave the all clear, saying the vehicle was deemed safe.
According to police, the package was deemed a hoax device. They say responding officers rescued a husky from the vehicle when they arrived.
The investigation is ongoing.
