A Dobbs Ferry man is in custody after leading police on a motorcycle chase and being found in possession of a large amount of psychedelic mushrooms, according to authorities.

On Monday, a Sloatsburg police officer observed a 41-year-old man riding a motorcycle with a concealed license plate on Route 17, police said. After attempting to pull the man over, he fled on the motorcycle.

The officer found the man on Juniper Terrace, acting erratically and attempting to escape, police said. The officer deployed a Taser and took the man into custody.

A search of the man revealed a large quantity of psychedelic mushrooms, police said.

He faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

The man's identity has not been released yet.
