They were also pushing for support of Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney’s reelection bid.
Maloney says this election is about reproductive freedom. His Republican opponent, Assembly Member Mike Lawler – who says he’s pro-life but opposed to a national ban on abortion – says a focus on inflation is what people care about.
Election Day is Nov. 8.
