City Council Democrats say they have found $9 million for Yonkers schools.
They say they've found $9 million in Mayor Mike Spano's proposed budget through increases in expected revenue, more grant money and curbing overtime.
That money could bring back all of the programs and guidance counselors lost by the district.
The extra money does not take into account the ongoing $25 million budget hole that is only being covered by the state and an increase in sales tax for the next two years.
