Friday is the final day for students to sign up for the Peekskill City School District’s P-Tech and Smart Scholars programs.
The programs are open for eighth grade students preparing for high school. Officials say they help the students earn free college credits.
The courses include health information technology, cybersecurity, computer information technology, paramedic training and the performing arts.
Officials say students must give the application and all supporting documents to their school counselor by the end of Friday.
Interviews will begin on Monday and acceptances will be mailed out next month.
