The owner of a day care in Middletown is facing charges after authorities say four children were abused at her home.
The Orange County Department of Social Services - Child Protective Services say Kesha Perry, 47, was arrested following an investigation of a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline.
Investigators say Perry, who ran the Smilee Faces Childcare out of her home, became aware of the abuse of four children, ranging in age from 4 years old to 11 years old, and she failed to take appropriate action on behalf of the children.
Perry was sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail. She is due back in court on August 24.
