New York State will create a new digital tool to help teachers and parents track coronavirus cases in their school.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says as soon as a school district receives their testing reports daily, they must send the information to the state.
The information will all be presented on an online dashboard so anyone can see COVID-19 test results in their district.
Cuomo says the dashboard will show how many tests were conducted and how many of them came back positive.
He says the data could be used to track which district reopening plans were successful and which ones failed.
