Sen. Richard Blumenthal is pushing for a cap on credit card interest rates -- and he's not alone.

Blumenthal says he's leading a bipartisan collision.

"President Trump supports it, so do a bipartisan group of legislators. I'm going continue to fight for this kind of cap on interest rates for credit cards, which is not only fair, it makes eminent economic sense," Blumenthal said on Saturday.

Trump previously said he wants the cap to take effect on Tuesday.
