It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Yonkers.
The County Center held its annual tree lighting Friday night complete with Santa, a synthetic ice-skating rink, and a train ride.
You don't even need to go to the city to get the Rockefeller Center experience.
"It's that time of the year where we have to be together and loving each other," grandmother Marilyn Cepeda said.
It's not just about the holiday spirit, though. It's also about bringing people offline and into stores for holiday shopping.
"You're able to walk outdoors with your family. You're able to experience the fresh air...It's a great way to experience time with your family," said Kayli Tarcy, marketing manager.
The Cross County Center says it's ready for Black Friday shoppers.
"Many of the deals are actually starting this weekend," Tarcy said.
"Merry Christmas to all. Happy holidays! Many blessings. We need it," said Cepeda and daughter, Carolyn Bennett.
