First responders were in Harriman State Park Sunday afternoon after reports of a hiker in distress.
The hiker was located about a half-mile in the woods behind the Reeves Meadow Visitor Center.
There is no word from police about the status of the hiker.
One first responder had to be taken to a nearby hospital after he fell ill in the woods.
The visitors center and hiking trails remained open during the incident.
