Road crews hit the streets Monday to clear snow across Westchester and Rockland counties.
The White Plains DPW began salting roads in the early morning, ahead of an expected 1 to 3 inches of snow, with higher accumulations expected in eastern Westchester County, according to forecasts.
News 12 meteorologists say the snow could taper off by 10 p.m. as temperatures drop into the low- to mid-20s.
There is a coastal flood advisory in effect for southern Westchester until 1 a.m. Tuesday, and more snow expected by Wednesday.
