Crews are beginning to move the "I Lift New York" super crane underneath the current Tappan Zee Bridge.
It will then be set up on the other side, where it will begin work on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
Moving the giant crane will be no small undertaking. The crane is said to be one of the largest floating cranes in the world, standing a whopping 328 feet tall and stretching over 400 feet.
The crane is so large that it could get within feet of touching the bridge.
While all this is happening, sheriffs are making sure that no recreational boats go past the crane or within 100 feet of it.
Once the crane is fully set up on the north side, it will be able to get right to work. It is capable of lifting over 1,900 tons.
