Some drivers had a difficult time getting back to the Hudson Valley last evening.
Traffic was backed up for miles last night on the New York Thruway in Rockland after Honda CRV and a Ford Winstar crashed.
It happened in the southbound lanes just before 6 p.m. near exit 14 in Spring Valley. Police say one vehicle was stopped on the shoulder of I-87 when the second vehicle rear-ended it and then hit the barrier. The driver says another vehicle cut him off and he swerved into the vehicle on the shoulder.
One person was trapped in the back of the Ford Winstar and other people were able to get out.
Police say four people were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening.
