The Town of
Greenburgh is being flooded with calls and emails from older residents who
don't know how to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Enter the COVID
Vaccine Angels – a group organized by Greenburgh Town
Supervisor Paul Fiener, who will help the vulnerable population navigate the
state’s COVID-19 website.
Fiener says the group
will begin by reaching out to organizations that service the elderly to develop
a call list and send out letters offering their assistance.
"There are so
many sad stories and its breaking my heart because I know that this, for many
people, is life or death," he says.
The Town of
Greenburgh says the program will launch in two weeks.
