Officials are ramping up efforts to get people vaccinated as the delta variant spreads in the Hudson Valley.
It comes as the newest numbers show the state's seven-day positivity rate has climbed again to 1.5%.
It's a bit lower in the Hudson Valley - at 1.14%, with 63 new cases in Westchester County alone.
The Westchester Medical Center Health bus will be in New Rochelle on Friday on the corner of North and Lincoln avenues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for people to get the Pfizer vaccine.
Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome to everyone 12 and up, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
This is part of a larger effort to get more people in New Rochelle vaccinated for COVID-19, as the city has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the county.
Currently, less than 60% of people in ZIP codes 10801 and 10805 have had at least one dose. ZIP code 10804 is doing better at 72%.
New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson says his city can and should do better, saying that deaths by COVID-19 are so preventable if people just come out and get their shots.
"Think about the fact that hundreds of millions of people have received the vaccine in the United States, billions around the world, tens of thousands just in new Rochelle. Ask anyone of them whether they regret the decision to get the vaccine. Talk to your doctor, talk to your community of faith, talk to people you trust who have been through this experience," says Bramson.
The bus will be back on Aug. 13 for people to receive their second dose.
It is one of many pop-up clinics also being scheduled by the county.
Other pop-up clinics include:
20 South Broadway in Yonkers on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., starting July 26 (Pfizer, Moderna)
Tuckahoe Community Center, 71 Columbus Ave. in Tuckahoe from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Pfizer)
