With just about two weeks to go before Election Day, the race for Westchester County executive is heating up.
Incumbent Andy Spano on Sunday received endorsements from Democratic Party heavyweight U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer and several local U.S. representatives.
"I go all around the state and so I see every county executive, I know what a hard job it is, and he's done a really good one," Schumer says.
Spano's challenger, Republican Rob Astorino, says his focus is on seniors, young people and tax relief.
"It's going to be very hard for Andy Spano to get his voters' endorsements," says Astorino. "He's made us the highest-taxed county in America. I'm running to change that."
