Westchester County police are inspecting parkway signage across the area to make sure they are clearly marked.
Officials drove along the Bronx River Parkway on Tuesday, checking each exit and entrance ramp. The inspections come after a wrong-way accident that took place July 26 on the Taconic State Parkway in which eight people - including four children - were killed.
Authorities initially looked at faulty signage as a possible cause of the accident, but police sources told News 12 Tuesday that Diane Shuler, who drove a minivan the wrong way on the Taconic, was drunk and had high levels of marijuana in her system.
