The Westchester County Center is finally reopening its doors after being closed to entertainment for three years. The opening was just in time for the Section 1 High School Basketball Championship
The basketball championships were the last event to be hosted here in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The County Center was then transformed into a medical facility for COVID testing and vaccinations.
County Parks Commissioner Kathy O'Connor says it's exciting to bring the games and the cheers back to the building.
"We are so happy that we're here…Many, many people are calling. We love our signs that say we're back. We're home and we're really looking forward to regrouping," O’Connor says.
