Police are investigating after an armed robber held up the Rite Aid pharmacy on South Street in Poughkeepsie this afternoon.
Police say the robber entered the store around 1:30 p.m. and pistol-whipped the store manager before making off with approximately $7,000 in cash.
The store says it has never been robbed before and has since added extra security.
Rite Aid says it's offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robber.
