Police say alcohol was a key factor in a deadly one-car accident on the New York State Thruway in Clarkstown early Sunday morning.
Police say there were four people in the car when the driver lost control and skidded into an embankment near exit 13. One of the backseat passengers, 21-year-old Dominic Zeoli from Suffern, was ejected from the car and died from his injuries.
The other three passengers survived the accident and were treated and released from the hospital.
