The Bureau of Labor Statistics says prices jumped 6.8% for the 12 months ending in November. That's the biggest 12 month jump since 1982.
Home cooking and grocery prices are at record highs, jumping 6.4%
Beef had the most dramatic increase with a 20.9% spike in prices.
Restaurant prices spiked 5.8%
The Federal Reserve is set to meet this week to ensure long-term interest rates stay low.
