A Connecticut woman was among dozens of activists arrested for domestic terrorism charges by Atlanta police. The group was protesting against the building of a law enforcement training facility, which is dubbed by opponents as "cop city."

Emma Bogush, 24, of Connecticut, was charged with domestic terrorism by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations on Sunday.

Bogush was among 23 people arrested in Atlanta over the weekend for protesting against the construction of the law enforcement training facility dubbed by opponents as "cop city."

The Associated Press says the group used flaming bottles and rocks to throw at officers at the same site where 26-year-old environmental activist Manuel Esteban Paez Terán,” was shot to death by officers during a raid at a protest camp in January. 

Others arrested in Atlanta on Sunday came from all across the U.S. including a French and Canadian national.
