Organizers say local community groups and churches have raised the funds to update the Concourse House shelter and after-school program.
The Concourse House has been working for more than 10 years to help women and children transition into safe and stable housing. Staff members say the renovation will provide the program with much needed computer equipment and a redesigned kitchen.
Staff at the Concourse House says the program will be updated in September. The new computers will provide children in the program with the opportunity to learn about technology.
