A "blue lives matter" flag on the field at a high school football game is causing concerns in Irvington.
The flag was carried across a football field by Irvington High School football players back on Sept. 10.
The Irvington superintendent said the team's coaches said the intention was to honor 9/11 first responders.
Some residents say the flag is highly politicized and can be offensive, and those concerns were raised at a recent Board of Education meeting.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
