Consumers may need to dig a little deeper into their pockets if they are Con Ed customers in Westchester.
Officials are proposing an average rate hike of just over 3 percent, which will result in an increase of about $5 a month.
Con Ed says this is the company's first rate increase since April 2012.
They say the hike is needed for repair work and technical upgrades.
