New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and state Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins are on a mission to return more than $200 million the state owes to Westchester residents.
The unclaimed cash could come from old bank accounts, uncashed checks or life insurance policies.
Yonkers alone has a total of $13 million in unclaimed funds.
Residents can check the state comptroller's website to see if they have any unclaimed cash in the system.
