Family, friends and local officials came together in Throgs Neck today to remember community leader Rose Foley.

Foley was laid to rest at 85 years old after battling emphysema. Loved ones say she put her Bronx neighborhood first until the very end.

Foley moved to the area in 1955 and was on the executive board for the local home owners association just one year later. She went on to serve on Community Board 10 and the District 8 school board for nearly 35 years.
