Bloody pieces of clothing remained on the street as police probed a deadly motorcycle accident in Cortlandt Sunday.
Officials are not sure whether the 59-year-old man, who was wearing a helmet, or a SUV caused the crash on Mountain Bridge Road around 2 p.m. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital where he died. Authorities say the woman in the SUV was not injured. Investigators are trying to reconstruct the scene.
A worker from nearby Monteverde restaurant called police after seeing the accident. He says he believes the motorcyclist crashed into the SUV and then flipped over the vehicle.
A head-on collision on the same stretch of road left five people in the hospital Friday.
