Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says cloudy and mild conditions continue across the Hudson Valley but rain will return later this week.
A dense fog advisory has been issued through 10 a.m. Tuesday for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Some patchy fog expected again south of 287. Lows near 42.
TUESDAY - KWANZAA: After some morning fog, sun gives way to clouds. Highs around 50. Lows down to 45 with a few showers and drizzle likely.
WEDNESDAY -  Scattered showers for the first half, with steady/moderate rain likely for the afternoon & evening. Highs up to 52. Lows near 43
THURSDAY: Lingering morning showers, then mostly cloudy and warm. Highs surge to the mid 50s. Lows drop to 35.
FRIDAY: Unsettled with an isolated shower or two likely with a few snowflakes possibly mixed in. Temps hover around 40, falling into the 20s.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy and cold. Highs near 40. Lows around 27. SUNDAY - NEW YEAR'S EVE: More sunshine, cold. Highs near 40. Lows in the upper 20s.
