Workers at health clinics around the Hudson Valley say whenever there has been a concern over abortion rights, they tend to see an increase in patients. So with the leak of the Supreme Court document, they are expecting a big uptick in people coming in.

While Gov. Kathy Hochul said the state will remain a safe space, places like the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center say there is still fear and concern among providers and staff.

The center has provided health care services for nearly 50 years to the community, including referrals for abortions. They say concern with abortion rights has historically brought an influx of patients.

But this time, they say it feels too real and they're anticipating a greater influx. That's why they're working on stocking up on inventory from informational pamphlets to Plan B.

"This is why we're here, it's to ensure folks have access to all services, so when you talk about something that's going to limit access to services, that's going to impede on people's privacy and ability to choose, we get very concerned about that," says Judith Watson, CEO of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center.
